1. Zero-Exposure Privacy & Core Philosophy
At ReviewsHunter, data privacy and transparency are foundational principles. We do not sell, rent, monetize, or broker personal information to advertisers, data aggregators, or unauthorized third parties under any circumstances.
Our software is engineered around a Zero-Exposure Backend-For-Frontend (BFF) architecture, ensuring that client secrets, database connection strings, and tenant customer vaults remain strictly insulated from public exposure.
2. Information We Collect & Why
We collect only the minimum required information necessary to power your reputation shield:
Tenant Account Data
Business name, manager email, password hash (salted bcrypt), Google review link, and optional alert email.
Customer Feedback Inputs
Rating selection (1-5 stars), optional customer contact information, and private grievance messages submitted to your dedicated funnel.
Routing Telemetry
Total redirect counters and aggregate satisfaction percentages used to calculate your Intercept Rate.
Billing Information
Payment transactions are processed securely via Lemon Squeezy; ReviewsHunter does not store full credit card numbers.
3. How Information Is Processed in Review Funnels
When an end customer visits your custom review link (/r/[slug]):
- 4 & 5 Star Ratings: Customers are immediately redirected to your Google Business Profile. No grievance data is logged, and the customer directly interacts with Google under Google’s privacy terms.
- 1, 2, & 3 Star Ratings: The customer is given the option to submit feedback privately. This information is saved solely inside the tenant’s private MongoDB vault and sent as an alert email to the business owner so they can resolve the issue.
4. Data Security & Storage Standards
We deploy robust enterprise security safeguards to safeguard your records:
- Data Encryption: All data transmitted over the internet is encrypted using TLS 1.3/HTTPS, and database stores are encrypted at rest with AES-256.
- Access Controls: JWT authentication tokens with strict expiration and HTTP-only cookie storage.
- Rate Limiting & Firewalls: Automated IP rate limiting, express-rate-limit protection, and NoSQL sanitizer middleware preventing injection attacks.
5. GDPR, CCPA & Tenant Deletion Rights
Under global privacy frameworks (including GDPR and CCPA), tenants and customers have the right to:
- Right to Access: View all saved customer complaints and business records directly in the dashboard.
- Right to Export: Download all feedback logs in structured CSV format anytime via the Export tool.
- Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): Permanently delete specific customer complaints or request complete account eradication by contacting support.
